Seviqc festiva invitation (15 May 2025)
Dear friends,
In 2024, we moved the Seviqc festival to Celje. It was a wonderful summer, full of energy and excellent events. The city of Celje hosted the core part of the festival and thus contributed to the brilliant execution of all the events.
The photo gallery gives some idea of the atmosphere. Professional critics rated the programme very highly, as we noted in our publication Glimpses 2024. In our publication Talks 2024, we published interviews with the artists. The publications can be found on the Seviqc website in the Publications menu, and statistical data can be found in the Implementation report. Radio Slovenia recorded all the concerts, which it broadcasts on the third programme, Program Ars.
This year’s programme is published in the festival guide. We want to open up the festival as much as possible: ticket prices are lower when purchased early, and admission to some concerts and all the conversations with the artists is free. We have also prepared a range of special offers.
Experience a unique summer escape with the sounds of early music. Our co-organizer, the Celeia Celje Institute, has prepared tourist packages that include the Seviqc festival concerts. I invite you to experience in the beauty of Slovenia, the richness of its musical heritage and the pampering of an experienced tourist organization.
Sponsors are essential for the successful realization of the concerts and enable us to achieve our goals even in more difficult circumstances. The sponsor packages can be found in the 2025 Business Plan in the For sponsors menu on the Seviqc website. The References menu gives artists’ and visitors’ opinions as well as media responses. The business plan is designed in such a way that sponsors can be included in the programme starting from more modest levels of support and they can tailor the amount of publicity they receive depending on their contribution. As with all festivals around the world, ticket sales and public funds alone are not sufficient for us to keep going, so we are extremely grateful for your support.
Access to culture is a fundamental human right, made possible by artists, visitors and sponsors. The Council of the EU summarised this in its Conclusions on improving and fostering access to culture. We work for people and for the development of culture, so that Slovenia will not be left behind in the burgeoning early music scene.
With many years of experience, knowledge and international connections, we strive for a market that will enable Slovenian artists to be active in the wider international arena. In the world of art, personal connections are very important, each artist is their own and independent selector of collaborations that allow them to survive in the market.
I invite you to subscribe to our newsletter Seviqcnews (right column at the top) and look forward to meeting you,
Sincerely
Klemen Ramovš
