On Wednesday 20th June 2018 the Knight's Hall was filled with music of two composers who gave the music a particularly strong influence Haydn and Beethoven. Consone Quartet’s concert programme “Haydn and Beethoven: Breaking Tradition” included Haydn’s op. 76/5 and Beethoven’s op. 18/1. Both quartets were written within a year or so of each other (1798) by two giants from two generations inspiring each other. In the exceptional performance of the Consone Quartet, the quartet impressed our audience.

The Knights' Hall of the Brežice Castle will again be filled with the sounds of early music. The string ensemble Consone Quartet, which is extremely successful in the international eeemerging project, has prepared a concert programme to present the music of the two giants of the Classical era.

We are happy to inform you that we have added a new concert in this year's Seviqc Brežice programme. On Saturday, August 25 2018, at 8:30 pm, we will host the Croatian ensemble Projekt Lazarus with the concert programme Brevis et facilis pslamorum, a baroque revival from Hvar, in the Bistrica Castle in Slovenska Bistrica.

Tourist farm Pri Martinovih in Globočice is turning into a true musical paradise for successful young ensembles. Cast of Prisma ensemble who will perform in Brežice Castle on Wednesday 11 April 2018, will create concert programme Broken Consort there. Fusion of highly artistic music from chambers and courts with tunes from streets and taverns will take us on the unforgettable tour through 16th century England.
