On Saturday, August 25, 2018, the Croatian ensemble Projekt Lazarus with its eight vocalists, accompanied by organs, enabled by the Škrabl workshop from Rogaška Slatina, filled up the Knights Hall of the Bistrica castle. After Venice, Vienna, Varaždin, Hvar and Zagreb, they were in Slovenia for the first time. With the programme delicacy of the collection Brevis et facilis pslamorum of the Croatian early baroque composer Damjan Nembri and in the second part with works by Ivan Lukačić, Vinko Jelić and Ivan Šibenčanin and conductor Darijan Ivezić (behind the organ) they charmed the audience.

We kindly invite you to the last Seviqc Brežice concert this year, which will be on Saturday 25 August 2018 in Bistrica Castle. Croatian ensemble Projekt Lazarus will perform with the concert program Brevis et facilis pslamorum, a baroque revival from Hvar, where they will also present a collection of psalms by the Croatian composer Damjan Nembri, born in Hvar in 1584. The collection Brevis et facilis psalmorum is one of the most significant monuments of Croatian baroque music.

Yesterday, August 15, 2018, the magnificent Knights Hall of Brežice Castle was filled with the sounds of one of the most brilliant violinists and composers Antonio Vivaldi. Orchestra Barocca San Marco under the direction of conductor and oboist Paolo Faldi, outstanding soprano singer Lucia Cortese and brilliant soloists on the natural trumpets Diego Cal and Luca Del Ben with the concert programmeAntonio Vivaldi: Arias and concertos impressed the crowded hall and visitors rewarded amazing concert with loud applauses and standing ovations.

On Wednesday, August 15, 2018, Italian Orchestra Barocca San Marco, under the direction of Paolo Faldi, is performing in the Brežice Castle with the concert programme Antonio Vivaldi: Arias and concertos. Soprano singer Lucia Cortese and soloists will take us on a journey to 18th Century Venice’s theatres, where most of Vivaldi's operas were staged.

Yesterday, on 1st August 2018 mysterious Devil’s Tower came alive. In the performance of the AustrianEnsemble rosarum flores music of Elizabethans filled the garden pavilion and echoed in the night. Concert programme Heree rest my thoughts: instrumental music from the time of the Queen Elizabeth I.was charged with emotions, love and melancholy prevailed.
