Consone Quartet impressed our audience with Haydn and Beethoven

Dear friends of early music and festival Seviqc Brežice

On Wednesday 20th June 2018 the Knight's Hall was filled with music of two composers who gave the music a particularly strong influence Haydn and Beethoven. Consone Quartet’s concert programme “Haydn and Beethoven: Breaking Tradition” included Haydn’s op. 76/5 and Beethoven’s op. 18/1. Both quartets were written within a year or so of each other (1798) by two giants from two generations inspiring each other. In the exceptional performance of the Consone Quartet, the quartet impressed our audience.

An hour before the concert at the festival upbeat artists presented their concert programme, period instruments and how they work. After the conversation visitors went to see the exhibition of the Posavje Museum Brežice "Politely invited, not urged: Museum couple Franjo and Iva Stiplovšek: Into the seventh decade" lead by director of the museum Alenka Černelič Krošelj.
