The Orchestra with Historical Instruments, born from an idea of the current Artistic Director of the San Marco Music Society, Maestro Diego Cal, has become an interpreter of classical and baroque music scores, a prestigious activity that is attracting a remarkable success. The use of original instruments for the interpretation of baroque and classical compositions makes the Orchestra’s offer a point of reference for the development of a “high-class” musical culture. Significant in this respect were the first world premieres in collaboration with the Galuppi Festival in Venice, J.S. Mayr’s Requiem at the Basilica of Frari and the Cantata of AA Miari “Napoleon Maximum Triumphant in Time of Glory” at the Sala Grande of the San Rocco School. Among other projects, let’s remember the Symphony no. 3 “Eroica” by L.V. Beethoven, performed at national premiere at Villa Manin in Passariano di Codroipo. At the regional level, the Orchestra has collaborated with institutions such as the Municipal Theatre in Monfalcone and the Verdi Theater in Gorizia for the production of their concert season. With the Mittelfest of Cividale in 2016, the orchestra performed with great success the “Rappresentazione di Anima e Corpo” together with the prestigious Choir of Friuli Venezia Giulia, with which he is currently working on the project “Cantate of J. S. Bach”. The orchestra is also present in the most important concert seasons of Triveneto, performing every year dozens of concerts in the most prestigious places and of great musical tradition. The Orchestra also benefits from the collaboration of highly successful soloists and musicians from internationally renowned professional experiences.
