Simbio, a waste management company, d.o.o., is a public company that provides comprehensive waste management in the wider Celje region. Their activity includes the public service of waste collection and removal in 12 municipalities of the Savinja region, as well as waste processing and processing in the first Slovenian regional center for waste management, Celje, which covers 24 municipalities of the Savinja region. Based in Celje, they also take care of the cleaning of public areas in the Municipality of Celje and manage the Celje City Market. The company, founded in 1996, is owned by four municipalities (the municipalities of Celje, Vojnik, Štore and Dobrna), with the Municipality of Celje having the majority share. In addition, the company provides septic tank removal services and manages six waste collection centres.
