Paper for the Culture for the Future consultation

On April 21, 2023, the last of the series of consultations on the vision of cultural policy, which were prepared by the Ministry of Culture under the title "Culture for the future" was held in the Štih hall of Cankarjev dom. In the following, I publish my paper for this consultation. The abbreviation MK stands for Ministry of Culture, NGO, Non-Governmental Organization, ZUJIK Act on Realization of Public Interest in Culture.

In our group for the development of early music, we explicitly support the minister, the remarks of this paper are a criticism of past governments, and at the same time we are sure that the minister dr. Asta Vrečko managed to change many things for the better. It will be necessary to rearrange the entire system of cultural activity. We are also convinced that problems must be faced if we want to overcome them, and therefore the criticism of this paper is necessary for a better tomorrow.

At the same time, Tjaša Pureber, who heads the Directorate for the Development of Cultural Policies, already answered my initial questions positively in her introductory speech. It is obvious that the mood has completely changed, the new team of the ministry started taking concrete actions last fall and is rushing through this land of ice and swamps with great courage and clear will, the first results will be visible soon. That's clear.
