Celje has a charming old town center where many providers, as well as public institutions of the Municipality of Celje, co-create contents and offers that make people want to come to the city. We have cultural institutions and bands that enrich the happenings in the city with their content. The Slovenian Folk Theatre of Celje has more than 70 years of tradition, the Museum of Recent History of Celje is the only children's museum in Slovenia, and they also take care of the photography studio of Celje's master photographer Josip Pelikan, and in addition to permanent exhibitions - the most famous of which is Živeti v Celju - it organizes interesting and educational exhibitions and events. The Provincial Museum of Celje hides ancient and medieval treasures, where visitors can walk along a real Roman road, and they can also see exhibitions about the family of the Counts of Celje and world traveller Alma Karlin. The most important legacy of the Counts of Celje is the Old Castle of Celje, which is the most recognizable landmark of Celje and a great pride of the city.
Lovers of contemporary art are fascinated by the Contemporary Art Gallery, the Račka Gallery, and the Art Salon.

Tehnopark Celje has been operating in the old town center of Celje since 2019, the largest science and entertainment park in Slovenia, which is an extremely popular attraction for all generations, especially children and young people.
