Bach Collegium Barcelona (ES)
8.5.2026
Founded in 2014. The ensemble’s artistic mission is to bring the vast repertoire of the Baroque style, spanning the 16th to the 18th century, to contemporary audiences, enabling a deeper understanding of our shared origins. A historically informed performance approach allows them to seek a natural and respectful way of making music. In their view, music itself is of primary importance; musicians therefore serve as instruments through which the music can emerge and speak. By devoting themselves to an in-depth exploration of the Baroque language—through the study of treatises, facsimiles, and historical sources—they gain a clearer understanding of the material in their hands and connect more profoundly with the spirit of the Baroque era. The interpretation of lesser-known repertoire is also a central priority of their work. This space, dedicated to respect, silence, and authentic music-making, enables listeners to reconnect with their inner world—one that is quiet, natural, and beautiful. Their mission is to offer to others what they themselves seek in life, recognising that the contribution of each individual resonates with and influences all.
