La Follia Baroque Ensemble Timisoara (RO)

A programme that is like a journey, a tale about emotions and passions whose leading line swings between femininity, love and ... la follia. The scene is Italy of the 17th and early 18th centuries, during the magic period when the Baroque spirit emerges in its most passionate and surprising shape – much like the art of seduction executed by a beautiful lady. Variations on a figured bass made with the Italian specific state of art of the 17th century, in a flamboyant crescendo ending with Vivaldi's La Follia.
