Concerto di Margherita

On 21 and 22 of July  the Bistrica and Brežice castles came alive with the magical sounds of Concerto di Margherita. Superb vocalists and instrumentalists dazzled us with their programme featuring early 17th century lyric love poems. We were immersed in musical and literary masterpieces. The young musicians ended the concert with folk music, crowning it with the Slovene folk song from the Prekmurje region, Zrejlo je žito (Wheat is ripe), performed in the Renaissance tradition.
