Women about Women award

We invite you to nominate Simona Zorc Ramovš, a key person in the development of the Seviqc Brežice programme, a long-time successful creator of the cultural scenes in Grosuplje (cultural center) and Muljava (Jurčič project), international leader of educational programmes, actress and theatre director. After graduating from the Louis Adamič Primary School in Grosuplje, Simona Zorc Ramovš graduated from the 1st gymnasium in Bežigrad Ljubljana, continued her studies at the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana, majoring in Slovene language, sociology of culture (three years). He graduated in 1996 in drama and film from the GITIS RATI Theater Institute, Stanislavsky Academy, Moscow.

Since 1984 she has been active in amateur theater groups, before studying acting also at the Šentjakob Theater and as a speaker and journalist at RGL Ljubljana. After returning to Slovenia, she is a producer, director, and actress in various authorial projects. Founder of the GGNeNi Theater, director of children's, youth and adult performances, also included in national and international festivals. Expert associate for theatrical activity of Public Fund for Cultural Activities of Slovenia (JSKD) - selector for amateur theater creation at all levels (basic, regional, national) and in all age groups (children's theater, festival Visions, Linhart meetings), pedagogue in various workshops for all generations and different levels mastering theatrical play at home and abroad. In parallel with these activities, she creates scenarios and moderates numerous events of JSKD, JSKD OI Ivančna Gorica. Since 1995 she has been participating in Seviqc Brežice: editing the programme book, artists' schedules, the entire logistics of events, connection with the local community, assistance in the promotion, marketing, and organization of individual events.

From June 2006 to June 2015, she was employed as the head of the professional service at ZKD Grosuplje, with an exceptional production and a significantly increased one-third membership of children and youth working in all artistic genres; creators of theatre productions winners of the highest awards of children's and youth festivals at home and abroad.

As of June 2016, she has the status of self-employed in culture. In addition to directing and mentoring in various workshops (including speaking, organizational events) and designing scenarios and moderating events, from 2016 to 2019 she also worked intensively in the field of speaking techniques with children, where Slovenian is the second language spoken (workshops as part of the KKZ summer workshops in Ankaran), with a focus on speech exercises that relax the speech organ. She is the only Slovenian theater pedagogue with an international certificate from the European Theater Network EDERED (European Drama Encounters / Rencontres Européennes de Drama).

Participation in European projects. Mentoring in a workshop in the educational program "eeemerging" - EMERGINIG EUROPEAN ENSEMBLES 2014-2018 (Ambronay, Bucharest, Göttingen, Ljubljana, Pavia, Riga, Strasbourg, York), with workshops for top artists of early music from around the world (CREATIVE EUROPE 2015 - 2018). She is currently the coordinator of the consortium partner ZKD Slovenije; Representing and developing models in the field of culture within the membership of the strategic team and the team of leaders of development and working teams of the POGUM project (Entrepreneurship Building for Youth Hope!) - "Strengthening entrepreneurship competence and promoting flexible transition between education and environment in primary schools"; The project is funded by the EU ESF with the support of the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports of the Republic of Slovenia.
