With Us in 2026
Dear lovers of early music and friends of the Seviqc festival,
The programme of the Seviqc festival 2026, which will take place between 7 and 21 August 2026, has not yet been published. We are currently awaiting the results of several funding calls, which may still lead to minor adjustments to the final programme. As we nevertheless wish to begin ticket sales already now, we have introduced a special priority ticket at a reduced price of EUR 10.00. The programme is expected to be published in February 2026, when the advance ticket price will be EUR 20.00. This price will then increase step by step to EUR 35.00 during the festival period. Further information is available on the Tickets page, Holders of priority tickets will be informed about the 2026 programme one week before its public announcement. The reduced price of the priority ticket is also an expression of our trust in your confidence in our work — that, as in all previous years, we will present a truly high-quality programme.
Although the festival programme for 2026 has not yet been fully confirmed, we have already announced a concert marking the European Day of Early Music (EDEM), which will take place on Saturday, 21 March 2026, at Narodni dom in Celje. The event is listed on the Events page.
With the transfer of the Seviqc programme residency to Celje, new conditions have been established for the development and positioning of early music at both local and national levels. The programme for the development of early music in Slovenia is thus being further enhanced by a special concert on the European Day of Early Music, establishing Celje as a new thematic and symbolic centre of this international celebration. At Ars Ramovš, the conception of the programme has been entrusted to our artist Maruša Brezavšček, whose choice of ensemble and repertoire also follows the development-oriented approach of the Seviqc Collegiumartis programme, focused on connecting outstanding Slovenian and international early music performers. On this occasion, a new Slovenian–Croatian ensemble, Harmonia Adriatica, bringing together musicians with many years of chamber music experience, will present itself for the first time.
Admission will be free of charge, with mandatory reservation of a complimentary ticket. Tickets will become available on 1 January 2026.
On this occasion, we will also organise the Simpozij Celeia, a symposium dedicated to reflecting on the role of Europe as a leading cultural entity at a time of current tectonic shifts in global politics. The symposium will highlight the importance of culture for Europe’s future development, as well as the role of Slovenian efforts in shaping the early music scene and fostering international cooperation. Its aim is also to outline directions for the further development of the Seviqc programme as a project of European collaboration, particularly from the perspective of connecting Slovenian artists with the international sphere.
With kind regards,
Klemen Ramovš
