The residency of young artists at the Smodiš Farmstay in Goričko
In the beginning of December the Smodiš farmstay in Otovci will, within the framework of the European project eeemerging, for 10 days host a group of young musicians from the Dutch early music ensemble Seconda Pratica. By 2018, the four-year process initiated by the eeemerging project, will have enabled young ensembles (chosen through auditions as the most promising) to receive the best working conditions, training, support and organisation of their own projects. In the first of the four 10-day residences in Goričko, these young musicians will be trained by two excellent, highly professional and internationally renowned artists: Tanja Skok and Simona Zorc Ramovš.
The ensemble will prepare an interesting programme entitled Nova Europa: Melodies and Palimpsests of the World in Creation, which you can enjoy at two concerts: on 5 Dec 2014 at 19:30 at Grad Castle, and on 6 Dec 2014 at 19:30 at Rajhenburg Castle.
You will be also able to listen to the concert at Grad Castle on 5 Dec 2014 at 19:30 live on air of Radio Slovenia, programme ARS: http://mp3.rtvslo.si/ars
You are also cordially invited to their public rehearsal on 7 December 2014 from 15:00 to 17:00, where the ensemble will present the music arranged during the residency, as well as host artists, press and other music lovers from Slovenia.
The art residency in Goričko is funded by the EU Creative Europe programme and is headed by the Seviqc Brežice Early Music Festival organiser Ars Ramovš Institute for Art.
