The open letter to the University of Ljubljana
Today, I sent an open letter to the Rector's Office of the University of Ljubljana with the wish that this would contribute to more successful work at the Ministry of Culture. Three members out of five have a doctorate, presumably from this reputable institution, but they write nonsense that causes economic damage, which would be good to stop.
If our application for the programme call had been confirmed for co-financing, we could already confirm a great programme today. Due to the failure of the expert commission, we have now applied for the project call, and we will be able to approve the program probably in the second half of March 2022.
The open letter to the University of Ljubljana is just one step in the effort to adequately co-finance our programme and the non-governmental sector in general. I especially think it makes sense because we are in the pre-election period. I strive for all political parties, especially those that will come to the National Assembly, to assess the importance of culture and adopt it not with words but with concrete actions.
