eeemerging auditions 2019
Dear friends of early music and Seviqc Brežice festival,
In Centre de musique baroque de Versailles from 3rd to 5th September 2018 auditions for eeemerging project selection of young ensembles for 2019 were held. The call launched by the eeemerging Centre culturel de rencontre d'Ambronay in April 2018 received 54 applications. Of these, the project partners selected 15 of the best young ensembles that we invited to these auditions, where we selected two of the best, or three, for the 2019 program, if the scope of the eeemerging program would allow this. Jury of partners included Daniel Bizeray (Ambronay, FR), Pierre Bornachot (Ambronay, FR), dr. Adrian Ioan Buciu (Bucureşti, RO), Eva Gaillard (Ambronay, FR), Maia Kanaan Amat (Torroella de Montgrí, ES), Māris Kups (Rīga, LV), Giulio Prandi (Pavia, IT), Klemen Ramovš (Ljubljana, SI), Delma Tomlin (York, GB), dr. Barbara Maria Willi (Brno, CZ) and Tobias Wolff (Göttingen, DE).
This year, a four-year co-financing of the eeemerging project by the European Commission within the Creative Europe program is concluding. During the four years operation (2014-2018), the eeemerging project successfully supported a number of young outstanding ensembles of early music from all over Europe and offered them professional training. Project influenced a number of new connections between young artists and enriched the European scene of early music. In the consciousness of European artists and producers, it has established as a generator of new production and is regarded as one of the most successful European musical projects of recent times. For this reason, our partners at the auditions also reviewed the contents and the upgrade of the eeemerging project, which will be reapplied in the European co-financing in January next year.
