Continuum: Harmonia Mundi

17. 11. 2017

A new and promising ansemble, Continuum seeks out new concepts – without losing sight of the original material. Their musical language moves in a sphere betwen old and new, between the 17th and 21st centuries, between knowledge and innovation, between vocal and instrumental music.

The hapsicordist Elina Albach and soprano singer Marie Luise Werneburg are presented at the Seviqc Brežice festival as part of the international eemerging  project. They will perform baroque repertoire by Claudio Monteverdi and Girolamo Frescobaldi, travelling via Purcells and his English songs, to the Mid 18th century of Johann Sebastian Bach and listening to some of his most unknown music; songs he has composed and collected for his second wife Anna Magdalena Bach.

You are kindly invited to experience new musical adventures on Thursday, 30 November, 2017 in the Brežice Castle. The concert starts at 20:00, an hour before that, at 19:00, there will be a relaxed conversation with the artists.

Have the magical sounds of the Seviqc Brežice festival sway you into the miraculous world of early music!
