The Celje Music School is a modern music school where we teach all classical and folk instruments within the framework of the public valid programme. We run a programme of pre-school music education, music trainees, in the music programme students can choose between all instruments and singing, in addition to regular instrument lessons, students attend lessons in music theory and chamber and orchestral playing. At the school, we also run programmes for preschool dance trainees, dance trainees, contemporary dance, and ballet. In addition, we also offer learning of other musical genres: advanced programmes as jazz, electronic keyboards, bass guitar, drums for all generations and GLASBA+ (MUSIC+). At the jubilee of public music education in Celje in 2023 (115 years of public music education), we are celebrating 30 years of secondary school music education, which is an important anniversary for Celje. Together with the I. gimnazija v Celju (First High School in Celje), we implement the art high school programme, music major, and both schools actively and creatively participate in the implementation of the programme.
